बेंगाबाद : अवैध आरा मिल में छापामारी, भारी मात्रा में महंगी लकड़ियां जब्त

बेंगाबाद(गिरिडीह)। वन विभाग की टीम और बेंगाबाद पुलिस ने गुरुवार को थाना क्षेत्र के दामोदरडीह में अवैध रूप से संचालित आरा मिल में छापामारी कर भारी मात्रा में महंगी लकड़ियां बरामद की है। रेंजर अजय कुमार व थाना प्रभारी फ़ैज़ रब्बानी के नेतृत्व में टीम ने छापेमारी कर शीशम, गमहार, सागवान आदि की लकड़ियां जब्त की है। इस कार्रवाई में आरा मील में लगी लकड़ी चीरने की मशीन को भी जब्त कर लिया गया है। जब्त किये गये मशीन और लकड़ियां वन विभाग को सौंप दिया गया।

बताया जाता है कि दो दिन पूर्व घुठिया के समीप एनएच 114 ए के किनारे पीडब्ल्यूडी की जमीन पर लगे एक शीशम के विशाल पेड़ को धन्धेबाज़ों ने रात के अंधेरे में काट लिया था। जिसके बाद यह मामला तूल पकड़ता गया और वन विभाग से कार्रवाई की मांग की गई थी। बताया गया कि लकड़ियां समेत अन्य सामानों को जब्त कर लिया गया है।

आरा मील के संचालक के विरुद्ध कानूनी प्रक्रिया के तहत मामला दर्ज कर आगे की कार्रवाई की जाएगी। छापेमरी दल में फोरेस्टर आर एन सिंह, एएसआई संजीत मिश्रा, जितेंद्र सिंह समेत अन्य पुलिसकर्मी व वनरक्षी बल शामिल थे।
